June 25 - Now it was time for the worst drive. When I
originally planned this trip, I allowed two days to get between
Minneapolis and Montreal, which is reasonable. However, my wife and I
decided that she would meet me in Montreal, and the only way we could
schedule it had her arriving at Dorval airport at 9 AM on June 26.
This meant I had about 25 hours to drive 20. I left St. Paul
about 9 AM. I reached Sault Ste-Marie about 7. Canadian Customs went
through my car completely, and it took forever. They opened every bag
and asked me about 50 questions before they let me through. I got
back on the road to cross Ontario.
